Submitting LPT Returns and payment for two or more properties – Revenue

The deadline for submission of your LPT Returns was 10 November 2021. If you have not submitted your LPT Returns, you should do so immediately.

If you are liable for Local Property Tax (LPT) for more than one property, you are required to submit your LPT Returns online.

You can submit your LPT Returns online through myAccount or Revenue Online Service (ROS). Alternatively, you can log in directly to the LPT online service. To log in, you will need your:

Property ID
PIN
and
Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) or Tax Reference Number.

You should have received a letter from Revenue through myAccount, Revenue Online Service (ROS) or the post regarding your LPT obligations for 2022. This letter included your Property ID and PIN.

If you are a residential property owner and you have not been contacted by Revenue, please check your myAccount and ROS inbox. If the letter is not in your myAccount or ROS inbox, please contact the LPT Branch.

Submitting Returns and payments for two to ten properties

If you are liable for LPT for between two and ten properties, you should determine the market value of each of your properties as at 1 November 2021. You will need to submit your LPT Return for each property.

If you have already been paying LPT by one of the recurring payment methods, your current payment method for each property will be automatically carried forward to 2022. This means that your current recurring payment method for each property will continue to apply for 2022 unless you select a different payment option when submitting your LPT Returns.

Submitting Returns and payments for 11 properties or more

If you are liable for LPT for eleven or more properties, you should determine the market value of each of your properties as at 1 November 2021. You do not need to submit an LPT Return for each individual property. Instead, you can submit your LPT Returns and payment arrangements for all of your properties by completing and uploading a file containing a list of your properties.

You were required to complete this file upload by 10 November 2021. If you have not done so, you need to complete this file upload immediately.

If you have already been paying LPT by the same recurring payment method for all of your properties, your current payment method will be automatically carried forward to 2022. This means that your current recurring payment method will continue to apply for 2022 unless you select a different payment option when uploading your LPT Returns and payment arrangements.

If you paid your LPT charges for 2021 using multiple payment methods, or from multiple bank accounts, these payment methods will not be carried forward automatically to 2022. You can either:

specify your preferred payment option for each of your properties in the file that you upload
or
set up a single payment arrangement to cover your LPT charges for all your properties.
